Careful consideration has be given into the organisation of the academic timetable in order to maximise teaching/quality time in relation to how children learn.
We believe that there is a pattern to how children learn. Motivation makes progress/learning spurt followed by a plateau for consolidation before progressing again. Therefore an organised, balanced and regular pattern to the school year ensures children can reach their full potential also allowing sufficient time to consolidate learning.
We also believe that shorter, more regular holidays enables teachers to give maxium input into their work, thus allowing time for reflection on the previous term and forward planning and preparation time for forth coming terms.
