A very warm welcome from the staff, pupils and parents.
Saddleworth Independent Preparatory school was originally opened in 1988 and educated children from 4 to 7, however, due to demand from parents, staff and children the school now caters for children from 4 to 11.
We are a small, happy independent school with high academic achievements, and a belief that all children need to be given the opportunity to excel in whichever field they are talented, be it academic, sporting, musical or artistic.
The staff at Saddleworth independent preparatory school is committed to the care of the pupils. The small number of pupils in each class ensures all children are valued as individuals.
We are close to Delph, and all the other Saddleworth villages, and within easy reach of Moorside and Shaw, Newhey, Mossley, Ashton and Marsden as well as Oldham. The M62 is easily accessible too,
bringing Manchester and Lancashire into our catchment area.
The school is housed in a traditional stone building, on top of a hill, next to the Talking Point conference centre. We have extensive views of the surrounding countryside, which is a source of inspiration to staff and pupils throughout the seasons.
Saddleworth Prep. School takes nursery DFes grants.
We are a child centred school, therefore teach a child centred curriculum. There is no formal entrance examinations and SAT's are optional, however, in previous Year 2 SAT’s we have had a successful record of children achieving above the national average. .
